Directions to the trail head (from Peoria):
Take I74 West to exit 82 and follow the signs to the park. The entrance to the trail head is across the road from the main park gate.
If you're a member of the park you must have your membership card displayed in your car windshield with the barcode side facing up. Non-members must pay a day use fee.
For the daily fee users, there is a self-pay drop box next to the sign-in kiosk. A daily pass is $8/person. The daily pass is allows you access to the WHOLE park, including the main park area.
